Patients covered by health insurance
If you have health insurance you are fully covered unless you have an excess on your level of cover or if your cover is only a basic level. Our reception staff will check your level of cover and you will be notified of any out of pocket expenses you may incur prior to your procedure day.
Uninsured Patients (no health insurance)
There is a procedure fee payable on the day of your test. You will be notified of this fee when making your booking. Unfortunately medicare does not cover our procedure fee so you cannot claim this fee from Medicare. You will be bulk billed for the Endoscopist , Anaesthetist and any pathology that is taken so it is essential that you bring your medicare card with you. Please let our staff know if you have a pension or health care card.
Veterans Affairs
If you have a gold veterans affairs card then you will be fully covered at our Centre.
Workcover
If you are covered under a workcover claim you will need to provide our reception staff with all of the details at least 2 weeks prior to your procedure so that they can obtain approval for your procedure to be performed under your current workcover claim.
